Borgo Cozzana

Overall the hotel is really nice , well maintained and quiet. As others Said on comments before the breakfast could be way better with little effort. The orange juice is not fresh it’s industrial, there a few healthy options no nuts , oatmeal or granola. The yogurt is all sweetened and industrial , the fruit selection is very poor no berries . They offer fresh scrambled eggs but no omelette which is ridiculous considering it’s almost the same. The little and cheap changed could make a difference on the breakfast. Lastly we had some Issues with the shower which lowered the temperature quiet fast.

If you're looking for luxury, you'll find it here. I'm rating the Borgo Cozzana at 5 stars with the following caveats noted below. On-site parking in a gated lot makes for an easy stay. The rooms are exquisite in every respect. They are meticulously clean and well-appointed. Our junior suite had a fireplace, albeit not operational. Plenty of pillows, robes, slippers, and a safe in the room. The bathroom is well stocked with soap and shampoo. Plenty of towels and large enough to move around in. There was no teakettle in the room but all we had to do was ask and it was presented to us. Nice! Breakfast buffet is available in the morning, as well as bacon and eggs on request. Service is impeccable on every level. Now for the caveats. Our room had no windows. Just a set of small French doors with fixed glass, so no fresh air. If you like to sleep with an open window or wake to the rising sun, you won't be able to do that here. Natural light is also a problem in rooms facing the courtyard. Shutters must be kept closed to maintain privacy. Also, the air-conditioner is set no lower than 20 degrees. So if you like a cool room, you won't find that here either. And finally, while not in the center of town, for some travellers like ourselves, that is a blessing. But just a short 10 to 15 minute ride and you can find everything you want in one or two towns over. Recommendation: Don't miss this exquisite property.

We had a great time here for a week in late April. The grounds are beautiful and very peaceful so it was easy to relax. The pool area was lovely and clean and the water cool and fresh. The rooms were very comfortable and we slept brilliantly. Finally, the location is great: it’s up in the hills of Monopoli so very quiet in the evenings, but still just under 10mins drive to Monopoli and the beaches. All in all, we had a great time here and would really recommend it.

We had a beautiful stay in Borgo Cozzana this July. When booking directly via their website, I asked for my elderly parents to get a room without stairs. They kindly gave them an easy accessible room with no stairs and we stayed in a room right next to it. The decor of the rooms is classy and modern, whilst keeping some of the original features and charm. We particularly enjoyed the swimming pool, a calm place to rest and recharge. The grounds are beautifully curated with colourful plants, bushes and trees. An oasis of tranquility. The hotel is conveniently located, Monopoli and Polignano a Mare are both easy to reach. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend staying here.
